Comments and Praise from
Writing To Save Your Life Workshop Graduates

“She is a master at getting people to dig deep and write.”

“Inspiring, motivating, encouraging.”

“The workshop was informative, enlightening and encouraging. I learned that I should be honest and not mimic anyone else’s style. I learned that my feelings and insights are critical; and the story I have to tell is important.”

I felt affirmed that what I am doing is good. I was given three huge points to help build on that and I learned to claim myself as a writer.”

“Michele is a very down to earth person and she inspired me.”

“This was extremely worthwhile for the practical tips. I trusted her as I am familiar with her writing.”

“The workshop was stimulating and empathetic.”

“The most valuable part was listening to her and learning all she has to say since I love her books.”

“This is the first workshop I’ve ever been to where the presenter said being a writer is possible. Usually presenters discuss the writing hardships. I already know the negative. Everything here was valuable.”

“I feel that I want to go home and write.”

“I know now I can get started and take one step at a time. It’s OK that everything doesn’t pour out of me perfectly on the first draft.”

“I feel motivated now to commit to a more regular practice. As the workshop unfolded, I found multiple meanings in the phrase, ‘Save your life.’ Putting it on paper is honoring it.”

“I needed to connect with people who write to gain courage.”

“I enjoyed understanding why Michele feels so committed to writing. I had read Michele’s books and several pieces by her. It was very positive.”

“I had read Michele’s essays and always enjoyed her writing. I learned encouragement and confidence. It was stimulating.”

“I enjoyed the workshop very much. I feel motivated and inspired to write more and to challenge myself to take different paths in my writing.”

“This inspired me to write 25 minutes a day and write one good piece each week. I have read Michele’s essays so I trusted her.”

“Thank you! It was so inspirational. It was all good and I would love to hear more.”

“I’m ready to access and acknowledge my own experiences in a more open way than before. This is a combo of actual instruction and boosterism. I loved it.”

“The time frame was perfect. It was just enough to get the points across and left time for examples and questions.”

“This workshop was extremely motivating and confidence building!”

“It’s a very good length for an introductory seminar. It leaves us hungry for more. It’s very powerful as a quick exposure.”

“This balances and delivers real techniques and experiences you can begin to use immediately. But it also has a transforming, emotional/spiritual element as well. This is one of Michele’s gifts.”

“I loved the simplicity and the encouragement from the teacher. It was uplifting and positive giving me the impetus to keep writing.”
